The total number of gerunds among the common nouns is 4,586. In other words, almost 25% of all common nouns in the HML are verbal nouns. Although this fact may be surprising as far as the structure of the HML is concerned, it simplified the further processing of this subset of common nouns.

The best results in one-word NE matching were 36 J. Kocoń and M. Piasecki obtained with Common Prefix δ, mainly due to favouring certain suffix pairs by the δ parameter [7].
